Champions League 2017-18 : Sporting beats Olympiacos 3-1

LISBON, Nov. 22, 2017 (AMP) — Champions League 2017-18 : Sporting Lisbon defeated Olympiacos by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 2-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Wednesday night at the Estádio José Alvalade in Lisbon.

Bas Dost scored dual goals

Sporting Lisbon dominated the first half thanks to goals from Dost ('40) and Cesar Bruno ('43). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Sportinguistas further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Dost in the 66th minute.

The result put Sporting third in Group D with 7 points. Olympiacos is bottom with one point. In their last game, Sporting Lisbon will meet group leaders Barcelona at the Estádio José Alvalade on December 5, while Olympiacos will face Juventus.
