Champions League 2017-18 : Liverpool hold Sevilla to 2-2

LIVERPOOL, Sep. 13, 2017 (AMP) — Champions League 2017-18 : Liverpool tied 2-2 with Sevilla (halftime: 2-1), in a Champions League group stage game on Wednesday night at Anfield in Liverpool.

Liverpool players started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Firmino ('21) and Salah ('37) while Sevilla only scored once Ben-Yedder ('5). However, even though they were leading 2-1 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Sevilla with a saving goal from Argentine midfielder Joaquín Correa in the 72nd minute.

The result left both teams on top of Group E with one point. In their next game, Sevilla will meet third-placed Maribor at Anfield on September 26, while Liverpool will face Spartak Moscow.
