SEVILLE, Sep. 26, 2017 (AMP) — Champions League 2017-18 : Sevilla defeated Maribor by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Tuesday night at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium in Seville.

Wissam Ben Yedder scored tripple goals

Sevilla dominated the first half thanks to goals from Ben-Yedder ('27, '38). Leading 2-0 at the break, Los Sevillistas further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Ben-Yedder on penalty with just 7 minutes remaining in regulation time.

The result put Sevilla top of Group E with 4 points. Maribor is bottom with one point. In their next game, Sevilla will meet third-placed Spartak Moscow at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium on October 17, while Maribor will face Liverpool.
