Champions League 2017-18 : Liverpool defeats Maribor 7-0

MARIBOR, Oct. 17, 2017 (AMP) — Champions League 2017-18 : Liverpool defeated Maribor by a big score of 7-0 (halftime: 4-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Tuesday night at the Ljudski Vrt Stadium in Maribor.

Firmino and Mohamed Salah scored dual goals

Liverpool dominated the first half thanks to goals from Firmino ('4), Coutinho ('13) and Salah ('19, '40). Leading 4-0 at the break, the Reds further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Firmino '54, Oxlade-Chamberlain '86 and Alexander-Arnold '90).

The result put Liverpool top of Group E with 5 points. Maribor is bottom with one point. In their next game, Liverpool will meet Maribor at the Ljudski Vrt Stadium on November 1, while Maribor will face Liverpool.
