LIVERPOOL, Nov. 1, 2017 (AMP) — Champions League 2017-18 : Liverpool defeated Maribor by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Wednesday night at Anfield in Liverpool.

Maribor made Liverpool doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with goals by Salah ('49), Can ('64) and Sturridge ('90).

The result put Liverpool top of Group E with 8 points. Maribor is bottom with one point. In their next game, Liverpool will meet second-placed Sevilla at Anfield on November 21, while Maribor will face Spartak Moscow.
