Champions League 2017-18 : Sevilla beats Spartak Moscow 2-1

SEVILLE, Nov. 1, 2017 (AMP) — Champions League 2017-18 : Sevilla defeated Spartak Moscow by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Wednesday night at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium in Seville.

Sevilla dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by French defender Clément Lenglet in the 30th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Sevillistas further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Banega in the 59th minute.

The result put Sevilla second in Group E with 7 points. Spartak Moscow is third with 5 points. In their next game, Sevilla will meet group leaders Liverpool at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium on November 21, while Spartak Moscow will face Maribor.
