Champions League 2017-18 : Shakhtar beats Napoli 2-1

KHARKIV, Sep. 13, 2017 (AMP) — Champions League 2017-18 : Shakhtar Donetsk defeated Napoli by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Wednesday night at the Metalist Stadium in Kharkiv.

Shakhtar Donetsk dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Taison Barcellos in the 15th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the “Hirnyky” further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Ferreyra in the 58th minute.

The result put Shakhtar second in Group F with 3 points. In their next game, Shakhtar Donetsk will meet group leaders Manchester City at the Metalist Stadium on September 26, while Napoli will face Feyenoord.
