Champions League 2017-18 : Napoli defeats Feyenoord 3-1

NAPLES, Sep. 26, 2017 (AMP) — Champions League 2017-18 : Napoli defeated Feyenoord by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Tuesday night at the San Paolo Stadium in Naples.

Napoli dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Lorenzo Insigne in the 7th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Partenopei further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Mertens '49 and Callejón '70).

The result put Napoli second in Group F with 3 points. Feyenoord is bottom with no points. In their next game, Napoli will meet group leaders Manchester City at the San Paolo Stadium on October 17, while Feyenoord will face Shakhtar Donetsk.
