MANCHESTER, Oct. 17, 2017 (AMP) — Champions League 2017-18 : Manchester City defeated Napoli by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 2-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Tuesday night at the City of Manchester Stadium in Manchester.

Manchester City dominated the first half thanks to goals from Sterling ('9) and Jesus Gabriel ('13). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Citizens further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by in the th minute.

The result put Man City top of Group F with 9 points. Napoli is third with 3 points. In their next game, Manchester City will meet third-placed Napoli at the City of Manchester Stadium on November 1, while Napoli will face Manchester City.
