Champions League 2017-18 : Porto beats Monaco 3-0

MONACO, Sep. 26, 2017 (AMP) — Champions League 2017-18 : Porto defeated Monaco by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Tuesday night at the Stade Louis II in Monaco.

Vincent Aboubakar scored dual goals

Porto dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Cameroonian forward Vincent Aboubakar in the 31st minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Dragons further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Aboubakar '69 and Layún '89).

The result put Porto second in Group G with 3 points. Monaco is bottom with one point. In their next game, Porto will meet third-placed RB Leipzig at the Stade Louis II on October 17, while Monaco will face Besiktas.
