Champions League 2017-18 : Besiktas beats Monaco 2-1

MONACO, Oct. 17, 2017 (AMP) — Champions League 2017-18 : Besiktas defeated Monaco by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a Champions League group stage game on Tuesday night at the Stade Louis II in Monaco.

Tosun Cenk scored dual goals

Monégasque forward Radamel Falcao opened the score in the 30th minute, before seeing Besiktas catch up in the 34th minute thanks to Tosun Cenk. 1-1 at half time. The “Black Eagles” eventually won the game in the second period with with another goal by Tosun Cenk in the 54th minute.

The result put Besiktas top of Group G with 9 points. Monaco is bottom with one point. In their next game, Besiktas will meet Monaco at the Stade Louis II on November 1, while Monaco will face Besiktas.
