Champions League 2017-18 : Porto beats Leipzig 3-1

PORTO, Nov. 1, 2017 (AMP) — Champions League 2017-18 : Porto defeated RB Leipzig by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Wednesday night at the Estádio do Dragão in Porto.

Porto dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Herrera in the 13th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Dragons further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Danilo '61 and Pereira '90).

The result put Porto second in Group G with 6 points. Leipzig is third with 4 points. In their next game, Porto will meet group leaders Besiktas at the Estádio do Dragão on November 21, while RB Leipzig will face Monaco.
