Champions League 2017-18 : Real Madrid beats APOEL 3-0

MADRID, Sep. 13, 2017 (AMP) — Champions League 2017-18 : Real Madrid defeated APOEL Nicosia by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Wednesday night at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored dual goals

Real Madrid dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo in the 12th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Blancos further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Ronaldo '51/penalty and Ramos '61).

The result put Real Madrid top of Group H with 3 points. In their next game, Real Madrid will meet third-placed Borussia Dortmund at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on September 26, while APOEL Nicosia will face Tottenham.
