Champions League 2017-18 : Real Madrid defeats Dortmund 3-1

DORTMUND, Sep. 26, 2017 (AMP) — Champions League 2017-18 : Real Madrid defeated Borussia Dortmund by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a Champions League group stage game on Tuesday night at the Westfalenstadion in Dortmund.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored dual goals

Real Madrid dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Welsh midfielder Gareth Bale in the 18th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Blancos further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Ronaldo '50, '79).

The result put Real Madrid top of Group H with 6 points. Dortmund is third with no points. In their next game, Real Madrid will meet group leaders Tottenham at the Westfalenstadion on October 17, while Borussia Dortmund will face APOEL Nicosia.
