BASEL, Feb. 13, 2018 (AMP) — Champions League 2017-18 : Manchester City defeated Basel by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 3-0), in the first leg of a round of 16 game on Tuesday night at St. Jakob-Park in Basel.

Gündoğan scored dual goals

Manchester City dominated the first half thanks to goals from Gündoğan ('14), Silva ('18) and Agüero ('23). Leading 3-0 at the break, the Citizens further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Gündoğan in the 53rd minute.
