Ivory Coast beats Cameroon in extra time to advance to CHAN semifinals
BUTARE, Jan. 30, 2016 (AMP) — Rwanda 2016 : Ivory Coast reached the semifinals of the 2016 African Nations Championship courtesy of a 3-0 extra time victory over Cameroon (following a 0-0 draw in regulation) on Saturday night at the Stade Huye in Butare.
The score was still nil-all after the 90 minutes of regulation time and both teams had to wait for overtime to settle the issue. The Ivorians finally broke through with goals from Boua ('95), Atcho ('102) and N'Guessan ('112).
