Mali beats Tunisia to advance to CHAN semifinals
KIGALI, Jan. 31, 2016 (AMP) — Rwanda 2016 : Mali reached the semifinals of the 2016 African Nations Championship with a 2-1 win against Tunisia (halftime: 0-1) on Sunday afternoon at the Nyamirambo Stadium in Kigali.
Tunisia had started off well by taking the lead in the 14th minute with a goal by Moncer. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Malians nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Dieng '70 on penalty and Diarra '81).
