DR Congo beats Guinea in shoot out to reach CHAN final
KIGALI, Feb. 3, 2016 (AMP) — Rwanda 2016 : DR Congo reached the African Nations Championship final for the second time in their history after defeating Guinea 5-4 on penalties (after a 1-1 draw) on Wednesday afternoon at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali.
The score was still 1-1 at the end of the regulation game time and overtime, after goals from Bolingi ('102) for DR Congo and Sankhon ('120) for Guinea. The congoleses finally emerged the victors in the penalty shootout session by winning 5-4.
