CHAN 2016 Qualifiers : Burundi beats Ethiopia 2-0
BUJUMBURA, Oct. 17, 2015 (AMP) — Rwanda 2016 (Qualifiers) : Burundi defeated Ethiopia by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in the first leg of a CHAN qualifier tie on Saturday afternoon at the Prince Louis Rwagasore Stadium in Bujumbura.
Mavugo scored dual goals
Burundi dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Mavugo in the 1st minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Burundians further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Mavugo in stoppage time.
The second leg between Burundi and Ethiopia will be played on Sunday October 25, 2015 (kick-off: 16:00) in Addis Ababa.
