CHAN 2016 Qualifiers : Nigeria beats Burkina Faso 2-0
PORT HARCOURT, Oct. 17, 2015 (AMP) — Rwanda 2016 (Qualifiers) : Nigeria defeated Burkina Faso by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in the first leg of a CHAN qualifier tie on Saturday afternoon at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.
Nigeria dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Yaro in the 25th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Nigerians further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Salami on penalty in the 76th minute.
The second leg between Nigeria and Burkina Faso will be played on Sunday October 25, 2015 (kick-off: 16:00) in Ouagadougou.
