CHAN 2016 Qualifiers : Ghana beats Ivory Coast 2-1
KUMASI, Oct. 18, 2015 (AMP) — Rwanda 2016 (Qualifiers) : Ghana defeated Ivory Coast by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in the first leg of a CHAN qualifier tie on Sunday afternoon at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
Fameyeh scored dual goals
Sangare opened the score in the 33rd minute, before seeing Ghana catch up in the 45th minute thanks to Fameyeh. 1-1 at half time. The Ghanaians eventually won the game in the second period with with another goal by Fameyeh with one minute left in regular time.
The second leg between Ghana and Ivory Coast will be played on Friday October 30, 2015 (kick-off: 15:30) in Abidjan.
