CHAN 2016 Qualifiers : Zambia held to a 1-1 draw by Mozambique but qualifies for 2016 CHAN
MATOLA, Oct. 25, 2015 (AMP) — Rwanda 2016 (Qualifiers) : Mozambique tied 1-1 with Zambia (halftime: 0-1), in the second leg of a qualifying game on Sunday afternoon at the Machava Stadium in Matola.
The Zambians started off well by taking the lead thanks to Mbewe in the 26th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Mozambique with a saving goal from Hagi on penalty in the 83rd minute.
Zambia, who won the first leg (3-0), secured their ticket to the CHAN finals. Mozambique is eliminated.Fixtures and Results : First round
