CHAN 2016 Qualifiers : Ethiopia beats Kenya 2-0
BAHIR DAR, Jun. 21, 2015 (AMP) — Rwanda 2016 (Qualifiers) : Ethiopia defeated Kenya by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in the first leg of a CHAN qualifier tie on Sunday afternoon at the Bahir Dar Stadium.
Ethiopia dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Girma in the 23rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Ethiopians further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Panom on penalty in the 77th minute.
The second leg between Ethiopia and Kenya will be played on Saturday July 4, 2015 (kick-off: 16:00) in Nairobi.
