CHAN 2016 Qualifiers : Zambia beats Namibia in shoot out to qualify for next round
LUSAKA, Jul. 4, 2015 (AMP) — Rwanda 2016 (Qualifiers) : Zambia defeated Namibia on penalties 6-5, after the match ended 2-1 in regulation time, in the second leg of a qualifying game on Saturday afternoon at the Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.
The score was still 2-1 at the end of the regulation game time and overtime, after goals from Mbewe ('29) and Kalengo ('72) for Zambia and Nenkavu ('43) for Namibia. The Zambians finally emerged the victors in the penalty shootout session by winning 6-5.
Zambia, who lost the first leg (1-2), advance to the next round of the ongoing African Nations Championship. Namibia is eliminated.Fixtures and Results : Preliminary round
