CHAN 2016 Qualifiers : Guinea held to a 1-1 draw by Liberia but qualifies for next round
MONROVIA, Jul. 5, 2015 (AMP) — Rwanda 2016 (Qualifiers) : Liberia tied 1-1 with Guinea (halftime: 1-0), in the second leg of a qualifying game on Sunday afternoon at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in Monrovia.
The Liberians started off well by taking the lead thanks to Vitalis in the 38th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Guinea with a saving goal from A. Camara in the 57th minute.
Guinea, who won the first leg (3-1), advance to the next round of the ongoing African Nations Championship. Liberia is eliminated.Fixtures and Results : Preliminary round
