CHAN 2018 : Sudan beats Libya in shoot out to claim CHAN third place
MARRAKESH, Feb. 3, 2018 (AMP) — Kenya 2018 : Sudan secured the consolation of third place at the 2018 African Nations Championship after defeating Libya 4-2 on penalties (after a 1-1 draw) on Saturday night at the Marrakesh Stadium.
The score was still 1-1 at the end of the regulation game time and overtime, after goals from Walaa Eldin ('6) for Sudan and Ablo ('84) for Libya. The Sudaneses finally emerged the victors in the penalty shootout session by winning 4-2.
