NOUAKCHOTT, Aug. 12, 2017 (AMP) — Kenya 2018 (Qualifiers) : Mauritania tied 2-2 with Mali (halftime: 2-2), in a qualifying game for the 2018 African Nations Championship (West Zone) on Saturday afternoon at the Nouakchott Olympic Stadium.
Two goals for both sides in the first half, Gaye ('11 on penalty) and Samba ('18) for Mauritania, Konté ('1) and Diarra ('22) for Mali and none in the second.
The result put the Malians second in the group with 5 points. Mauritania is 5th with 4 points. In their last game, Mali will meet Mauritania at the Nouakchott Olympic Stadium on August 19, while Mauritania will face Mali.
