Brazil beats Uruguay to reach Confederations Cup final
BELO HORIZONTE, Jun. 26, 2013 (AMP) — Brazil 2013 : Brazil reached the FIFA Confederations Cup final for the fifth time in their history with a 2-1 win against Uruguay (halftime: 1-0) on Wednesday afternoon at the Mineirao Stadium in Belo Horizonte.
Brazil dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Fred in the 41st minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Brazilians further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Paulinho with just 4 minutes remaining in regulation time.
