Spain beats Italy in shoot out to reach Confederations Cup final
FORTALEZA, Jun. 27, 2013 (AMP) — Brazil 2013 : Spain reached the FIFA Confederations Cup final for the very first time in their history after defeating Italy 7-6 on penalties (after a 0-0 draw) on Thursday afternoon at the Castelao Stadium in Fortaleza.
The score was still nil-all at the end of the regulation game time and overtime. The Spaniards finally emerged the victors in the penalty shootout session by winning 7-6.
