Costa Rica beats Guatemala 2-1 to win 2014 Copa Centroamericana
LOS ANGELES, Sep. 13, 2014 (AMP) — USA 2014 : Costa Rica claimed a eight Copa Centroamericana crown with a 2-1 win against Guatemala (halftime: 1-1) in the final on Saturday night at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
C. Ruiz opened the score in the 25th minute on penalty, before seeing Costa Rica catch up in the 29th minute thanks to Bryan Ruiz. 1-1 at half time. The Costa Ricans eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Bustos in the 56th minute.
