Lorient beats GFC Ajaccio to advance to Coupe de France semifinals

LORIENT, Mar. 2, 2016 (AMP) — Coupe de France 2015-16 : Lorient reached the semifinals of the Coupe de France with a 3-0 win against GFC Ajaccio (halftime: 2-0) on Wednesday night at the Stade du Moustoir in Lorient.

Lorient dominated the first half thanks to goals from Philippoteaux Romain ('9) and Barthelme Maxime ('43). Leading 2-0 at the break, Lorient players further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Paye Pape seconds before the end of regulation.
