Avranches beats RCS in shoot out to reach Coupe de France quarterfinals

Mar. 1, 2017 (AMP) — Coupe de France 2016-17 : US Avranches qualified to the quarter-finals of the Coupe de France after defeating RC Strasbourg 6-5 on penalties (after a 1-1 draw) on Wednesday night.

The score was still 1-1 at the end of the regulation game time and overtime, after goals from Mayulu ('48) for US Avranches and Vincent Gragnic ('90) for RC Strasbourg. Avranches finally emerged the victors in the penalty shootout session by winning 6-5.
