Bastia beats Caen in extra time to reach Coupe de la Ligue quarterfinals

FURIANI, Dec. 16, 2014 (AMP) — Coupe de la Ligue 2014-15 : Bastia qualified to the quarter-finals of the Coupe de la Ligue courtesy of a 3-2 extra time victory over Caen (following a 2-2 draw in regulation) on Tuesday night at the Stade Armand Cesari in Furiani.

The score was still 2-1 for Caen a minute from the end of regulation time, when an unexpected goal from Koné allowed Bastia to equalize and just squeeze through to overtime. In the 103rd minute, it was ultimately the Bastia striker Benjamin Mokulu who brought Bastia to victory by scoring the winning goal.
