Nantes beats Metz in extra time to reach Coupe de la Ligue quarterfinals

NANTES, Dec. 16, 2014 (AMP) — Coupe de la Ligue 2014-15 : Nantes qualified to the quarter-finals of the Coupe de la Ligue courtesy of a 4-2 extra time victory over Metz (following a 2-2 draw in regulation) on Tuesday night at the Stade de la Beaujoire in Nantes.

The score was still 2-2 after the 90 minutes of regulation time, after goals from Juan Falcón ('60) and Cheick Doukouré ('62) for Metz and Oswaldo Vizcarrondo ('71) and Serge Gakpé ('83 on penalty) for Nantes, and both teams had to wait for overtime to settle the issue. Nantes finally broke through with goals from Audel ('92) and Bangoura ('118).
