Toulouse beats Marseille in extra time to advance to Coupe de la Ligue semifinals

TOULOUSE, Jan. 13, 2016 (AMP) — Coupe de la Ligue 2015-16 : Toulouse reached the semifinals of the Coupe de la Ligue courtesy of a 2-1 extra time victory over Marseille (following a 1-1 draw in regulation) on Wednesday afternoon at the Toulouse Stadium.

The score was still 1-1 after the 90 minutes of regulation time, after goals from Wissam Ben Yedder ('25) for Toulouse and Nicolas Nkoulou ('27) for Marseille, and both teams had to wait for overtime to settle the issue. In the 99th minute, it was ultimately the Toulouse striker Martin Braithwaite who brought Toulouse to victory by scoring the winning goal.
