Oct. 10, 1979 (AMP) — Italia 80 (Qualifiers) : Yugoslavia defeated Spain by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 1980 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday.

The result put the Spaniard top of Group 3 with 7 points. Yugoslavia is second with 4 points. In their last game, Spain will meet Cyprus on December 9, while Yugoslavia will face Romania.
