Oct. 14, 1987 (AMP) — Germany 88 (Qualifiers) : Yugoslavia defeated Northern Ireland by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 1988 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday.

The result put the Yugoslav second in Group 4 with 6 points. Northern Ireland is bottom with one point. In their next game, Yugoslavia will meet group leaders England on November 11, while Northern Ireland will face Turkey.
