Oct. 10, 1990 (AMP) — Sweden 92 (Qualifiers) : Spain defeated Iceland by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 1992 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday.

The result put the Spaniard top of Group 1 with 2 points. Iceland is fourth with 2 points. In their next game, Spain will meet third-placed Czechoslovakia on November 14, while Iceland will face Albania.
