Oct. 11, 1995 (AMP) — England 96 (Qualifiers) : Ireland defeated Latvia by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-0), in a Euro qualifying game on Wednesday.

The result put the Irish second in Group 6 with 17 points. Latvia is 5th with 12 points. In their last game, Ireland will meet group leaders Portugal on November 15.
