Aug. 16, 1995 (AMP) — England 96 (Qualifiers) : Russia defeated Finland by a big score of 6-0 (halftime: 3-0), in a qualifying game for the 1996 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday.
The result put the Russians top of Group 8 with 17 points. Finland is third with 15 points. In their next game, Russia will meet the Faroe islands on September 6, while Finland will face Scotland.
