Sep. 8, 1999 (AMP) — Belgium Netherland 2000 (Qualifiers) : Ukraine defeated Iceland by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2000 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday.
The result put the Ukrainians top of Group 4 with 19 points. Iceland is fourth with 15 points. In their last game, Ukraine will meet second-placed Russia on October 9, while Iceland will face France.
