Sep. 5, 1999 (AMP) — Belgium Netherland 2000 (Qualifiers) : Cyprus defeated Israel by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2000 UEFA European Championship on Sunday.
The result put the Cypriot second in Group 6 with 12 points. Israel is third with 10 points. In their next game, Cyprus will meet group leaders Spain on September 8, while Israel will face San Marino.
