MOSCOW, Sep. 10, 2003 (AMP) — Portugal 2004 (Qualifiers) : Russia defeated Switzerland by a score of 4-1 (halftime: 2-1), in a qualifying game for the 2004 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday night.
The result put the Swiss top of Group 10 with 12 points. Russia is second with 11 points. In their last game, Switzerland will meet third-placed Ireland on October 11, while Russia will face Georgia.
