BASEL, Oct. 11, 2003 (AMP) — Portugal 2004 (Qualifiers) : Switzerland defeated Ireland by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a Euro qualifying game on Saturday afternoon. Switzerland secured their ticket to the Euro finals. Ireland is eliminated.
