KAUNAS, Oct. 12, 2002 (AMP) — Portugal 2004 (Qualifiers) : Lithuania defeated the Faroe islands by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2004 UEFA European Championship on Saturday night.
The result put the Lithuanians third in Group 5 with 3 points. The Faroe islands is fourth with one point. In their next game, Lithuania will meet Iceland on October 16, while the Faroe islands will face Germany.
