HANOVRE, Oct. 16, 2002 (AMP) — Portugal 2004 (Qualifiers) : Germany defeated the Faroe islands by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2004 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday.
The result put the Germans top of Group 5 with 6 points. The Faroe islands is bottom with one point. In their next game, Germany will meet Lithuania on March 29, while the Faroe islands will face Iceland.
