TóRSHAVN, Jun. 11, 2003 (AMP) — Portugal 2004 (Qualifiers) : Germany defeated the Faroe islands by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2004 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday night.
The result put the Germans top of Group 5 with 11 points. The Faroe islands is bottom with one point. In their next game, Germany will meet Iceland on September 6, while the Faroe islands will face Iceland.
