KAUNAS, Jun. 11, 2003 (AMP) — Portugal 2004 (Qualifiers) : Iceland defeated Lithuania by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2004 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday night.
The result put the Icelander second in Group 5 with 9 points. Lithuania is fourth with 7 points. In their next game, Iceland will meet the Faroe islands on August 20, while Lithuania will face the Faroe islands.
