SKOPJE, Oct. 12, 2002 (AMP) — Portugal 2004 (Qualifiers) : Turkey defeated Macedonia by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2004 UEFA European Championship on Saturday night.
The result put the Turk top of Group 7 with 6 points. Macedonia is third with one point. In their next game, Turkey will meet second-placed Liechtenstein on October 16, while Macedonia will face England.
