HELSINKI, Oct. 12, 2002 (AMP) — Portugal 2004 (Qualifiers) : Finland defeated Azerbaijan by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2004 UEFA European Championship on Saturday night.
The result put the Finnish third in Group 9 with 3 points. Azerbaijan is bottom with no points. In their next game, Finland will meet Yugoslavia on October 16, while Azerbaijan will face Wales.
